This 14 ft boat is being made at the request of a client who wanted something that would”fit on a roof rack” I’m using 2″ x3/8″ Canadian red cedar for the stringers on 2 ” x 1/4″ oak ribs as they make the construction lighter in the end.A mixture of home grown spruce , Scots pine for grown knees and poplar for the other parts like seats etc .She’s designed for two rowers plus a passenger and camping gear . The skin could be painted canvas or glass fiber depending on the client’s wishes .
